5 major features of Photoshop 2022

The week before, Adobe released Photoshop 2022 and with this new version, Adobe has introduced a number of improvements to Photoshop. Alongside the addition of additional features, there are numerous improvements over already existing Neural filters too. In this guide I’ll walk you through the most popular aspects that are notable to me. These include Harmonization, Landscape Mixer, Object Finder along with numerous others. We’ll get started!

1st Feature: The Object Selection

The tool is brand new and promises to automatically select objects within photos by using AI technology. It’s fairly good at recognizing and identifying objects.

To turn on this tool, hit (W) to activate it. On the Options Bar and then choose the Object Finder to search for an object on any photograph. It’s part of the Quick Selection & Magic Wand tool.

For a quick glimpse of this tool at work it is possible to hover over an object to provide a glimpse of the object. It is evident in the below image the accuracy of this tool.If you’d like to choose all the objects of a photograph then you should select the Show All ObjECTS option. This will select every object in one shot.
To choose an object simply click on it. Photoshop will create a choice:

Second Feature: Harmonization

The Harmonization filter, as its name indicates, attempts to blend subject matter with background. In reality, it’s not perfect and will require lots of improvement. If your subject matter is related to background images, it should perform. However, you may not be able to alter the hue, color and intensity of your subject to background, and you must rely on blend methods.

To enable this filter, visit the Filter menu > Neuro > Harmonization filter

I already have my subject removed and placed it in my background. When you’ve enabled the filter, it is necessary choose a layer to use that is background, otherwise it will not perform. The background layer can be any layer of your stack that you wish your subject matter to be synchronized.

After you’ve selected the background layer you are able to then begin to blend the subject to the background. The colors can be adjusted as well as the brightness and intensity that the filter produces.

3. Feature #3: Mask all objects

This is a really helpful feature and extremely handy when you need to hide every object in a photograph. This can save you the time and energy, since you don’t have to choose items to recomposit.

To get access to this feature, go to Layer > Mask All Objects. mask all Objects feature Go to layer > mask all Objects:

When you click it, it will cover all objects. place each layer of objects with it’s mask at the uppermost layer stack.

After you have clicked on it, it will remove all the objects. place each layer of objects with it’s mask at the highest layer of the stack.

This is where you can see that I chose a default set of Winter and changed the whole landscape into the winter landscape:

Below you will see the image before and after

Beyond presets, one can set your parameters manually. In addition, you could select a customized image. This will combine the colors of your custom image and the surroundings.

Commentary on Feature #5

Another cool feature has been introduced with Photoshop 2022 dubbed “Comments”. It is possible to use this feature to receive feedback from clients, colleagues or your family members through inviting them. This is a great way to aid with communications.

It is possible to find the Comment Feature on the Window Menu.

In order to use this feature the user must document or save your work in the cloud as a document. This is easy to accomplish just click the Continue button after which Photoshop will save an image of the document to Cloud.

When you’ve saved your files in the cloud, you’ll get an option titled “Share” which allows you to send your work out to people:

When you hit the Share button, you will be able to input the email address of someone you’d like to distribute the work you’ve created:

Also, you can make access settings:

The Feature #6 is Copy Vectors Using Adobe Illustrator

The last but certainly not last, Pasting vectors from Illustrator into Photoshop can be a major time-saver for Illustrators. It’s not my experience to access Illustrator so I’m left with just a few details regarding this. This feature allows it’s easy to preserve layers, structure, and attributes inside Photoshop using Adobe Illustrator.

The only thing you need to do is choose the objects you want to use within Adobe Illustrator, copy it then paste it into Photoshop and the following menu will appear on the screen:

Choose the layers you want to use and Photoshop will copy all layers of Illustrator onto Photoshop while preserving each layer.

The end of this article. In addition further tools like Gradient Interpolation Options and Content Credentials which are self-explanatory. Gradient Interpolation methods attempt to make more natural blends of gradients On the other hand Content Credentials feature adds Content Credentials feature adds credentials to your job.

It also adds meta information like names, Photoshop version, photos employed, the activity etc. When you’ve added your credentials, you are able to utilize it to verify your work. However, if someone has opened the file with a few changes then the meta information is lost. This means that there’s no method to verify the work. This is the reason it’s not among my the top functions.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the video. Tell me which part is most appealing to you by commenting below.
